Spirituality in Nature

Spiritual awakening and snowdrops! These beautiful little snow drops grow wild along the edge of the creek not far from our home which is a definite sign that spring has arrived, and everything is waking from the winter ‘sleep-time’. The buds, the blossoms, the leaves, the fruits, everything is starting to come to life as it awakens from its hibernation.

As I contemplated the beauty of these little flowers, I also began to ponder the message they were offering me. Have I been needing to awaken from the illusion of this material world? Do I need to awaken from this dream and discover what is reality and what is not? And, the big question – how do I do this?

If we really wish to awaken spiritually, then we must continually ask questions and then focus on finding or unravelling the answers. If you are not quite ready to hear the answers coming from within, then a great place to start is by doing some research. Find books, find recordings, find videos, find a teacher. Find whatever it is that speaks to you, because it is your dream from which you must awaken and it is only you that knows what’s right for you. It is an individual journey. We are unique in so many ways, so it only stands to reason that our journey towards awakening must also be unique.

There are unlimited resources out there that help us take those first steps and find the path that was meant for us. Once we have found a particular book or teacher, use that resource to spring into life. But there is one thing that is so important! And what is that? Whatever we learn must be put into action. It is as easy as taking 1 simple practical idea from whatever you are learning and putting this into action. Do it not only for a day, but for a week or 2 or three until it becomes engrained into the fibre of your being. Yes, as the saying goes, practice makes perfect! And just like the snowdrops, your awakening will quietly, and beautifully unfold.
