Recognising the Invisible Power Within

Here in Australia, it is one of my favourite times of the year – Springtime! Everything has been poised for the perfect moment to announce its arrival with a flourish of blossoms, tiny green leaves shooting from bare branches, flowers opening to the sun, fruits forming, and a million and one other ways. It seems like someone has pressed a ‘go’ button somewhere out there to signal it’s time to wake up and jump into action. I really believe in the positive impact that contemplation has on our spiritual awakening, and this very moment is always the perfect time to ponder the greater questions we have regarding our spiritual growth. So, what has this got to do with spring? Well, as I walked this morning, I pondered the following: What awakens this new life in spring? What is the invisible power behind it? Does it just happen or is there an invisible power that signals it is time to send down roots, send up shoots, produce leaves, time to flower. What is that invisible power?

Does it just happen or is there an invisible power that signals it is time to send down roots, send up shoots, produce leaves, time to flower. What is that invisible power?

Simply put, it is the same Invisible Power that is within you and me, and if it can produce such magical changes in nature, just imagine what it is doing for us. Regardless of what name you put to it – Divine Mind, Spirit, God, Buddha Mind – it is the power that never ceases to be present within each and everyone of us.  It is the Power that maintains and sustains us, provides for all our needs, and guides our path. The secret is in our allowing of this to take place! No doing or trying or making it happen … simply sitting in the stillness, breathing deeply, quietening the mind, and allowing. If you are reading this then perhaps it is time for you to become still and contemplate the Invisible Power that lies within you awaiting your recognition.
