Understanding Doubt with Geraldine Teggelove

Emotional well-being is paramount to living a happy and healthy life. If you look closely at the image for this message, you will see a rather tall shrub taking the shape of a hairy looking creature which I named the monster that roams the mind. The monster that creates less than positive thoughts which can sabotage our thinking and our emotional wellbeing. I took this photo late one evening just as the sun was setting. Sounds crazy, but a few days later I began to ponder its message as I baked some biscuits which, here in Australia, we call yo-yos.

How faith can set you free.

Question: How do I stop the doubt that sometimes roams my mind?

Jesus: What are you currently doing – right now?

G. I’m making yo-yos!

Jesus: And what do yo-yos do?

G. They move up and down on a string with the movement of our hand.

Jesus: Exactly! Now see yourself as the yo- yo. You are in control of the string. You can let yourself fall down into doubt, or you can jolt the string so as to pull yourself up and back into a far more positive emotional state which in this case is having faith and trust. It is so easy to allow yourself to fall into deep dark matter which is heavy and depressing. Remember to stop seeing each part of the yoyo and yourself as separate. You are not a single entity. You are the physical mind, you are the yo-yo, you are the string, and you are the controller of the string. You are all these things, and you are also the doubt, the faith, and the trust!

Your gift of free will allows you to choose how to play with the yo-yo. Will you choose to let it fall, or will you choose to tug on that string and bring it back into a higher stage of being? Which is closer to a God-like state? Choose wisely – faith will set you free.
