The Power of God in Nature

Standing on cliffs overlooking the ocean in the National Park at the southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula, I was definitely witnessing what could be called Divine energy. I stood in awe at the power of both the ocean and the waves as they threw themselves against the rocks and cliffs.

Question: What is the spiritual lesson and learning within this Jesus?

Jesus: Understanding Divine Energy! Universal Energy flows in and through all things, so what you are witnessing is the power and might of God.

Geraldine: It’s amazing! I often wonder how people can write about the power of God and rejoice in it. Growing up I only ever knew it as power over me and how God would use that power to somehow punish me if I did wrong. And yet, when I read poems from the mystics, they are jubilant about the power and might of God. Obviously, they see something or know something that I am still growing into and yearning to fully understand.

Jesus: When you understand that God is everything, and everything is God, you can then begin to understand the Truth about the power and might of God. God is the ocean, God is the wave – God is the power and might within both of these as well as the storm, the volcano, the earthquake, etc. It is not vengeful power, but majestic and awesome – beyond any word within the human language.

Geraldine: So, when you read, “You are powerful beyond measure”, what does this really mean? Can you please explain this statement in your words Jesus?

Jesus: Most people have a very human understanding of the power found within, but it is usually about having the power to create in a material way, for material gain. This very human understanding of the power within involves separateness. When you see yourself as one with all things, then you begin to feel the true power and might of God flowing through the One Soul.

This all-powerful energy empowers souls to travel a path that takes them beyond the ordinary (material quests) and into the extraordinary realm of love, peace, goodness and Truth. This is the inner power that changes worlds. This is the true power and might of God within you.
