Creating Your Own Spiritual Path
As I walked the gorges within the Flinders Ranges, I began to ponder all who had walked these tracks before me – the ancient wisdom held in each step. I particularly contemplated the possibility that this track that wound through the mountains was a ‘songline’ of the original people who travelled this ancient land. Songlines are often seen as pathways of knowledge that move in all directions across the entire continent of Australia. They link sites of sacred significance which the first nation people believe were formed by ancestral beings. These sites also hold knowledge which is critical for survival.
Question: As I continued to contemplate songlines, the question came: Do we all have songlines? How are these created, and do they change as we grow in awareness and understanding?
J. Yes, you have all been creating your song lines or energy lines since the day you were born. Your songline builds with each and every physical lifetime you experience here on planet earth. Sometimes you follow other people’s song lines, but you must get back into your own. Create your song line to create your path. You create your own song through your actions, your words, your thoughts, your feelings and your perception of life. The songline becomes brighter, clearer and stronger as you come closer to truth. Your song line stretches through so many lifetimes.
Every day you can sing a little more of your song, a little more of your energy line-your path to God, to truth and the light. Remind yourself often, “Be still and know that I am God”.
